10 refreshing Cocktails for Spring
BACARDÍ Mango Mojito
Sip this refreshing cocktail and enjoy the vibrant flavors of mint, lime and juicy mango.
Ingredients
2 oz. BACARDÍ Mango Fusion Flavored Rum
4 Lime wedges
12 Fresh mint leaves
2 Heaping teaspoons of white sugar
Club soda
Sprig of fresh mint to garnish
Preparation
Gently press together the limes and sugar. Bruise the mint leaves by clapping them between your palms, rub them on the rim of the glass and drop them in. Next half fill the glass with crushed ice, add the BACARDÍ Mango Fusion rum and stir. Top with crushed ice, a splash of soda and a sprig of mint.
Century Club Punch
Century Club Punch was based on a recipe from the legendary “Professor” Jerry Thomas and is as good now as it was in 1862.
Ingredients
1 3/5 parts BACARDÍ Gold rum
4/5 parts BACARDÍ Superior rum
1 part Freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 to 4 parts Water
3 heaping tsp. of fine white sugar (caster sugar)
Preparation
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker, add some ice cubes and give it all a good, hard shake. Fine strain the mixture into a glass full of shaved or crushed ice. Garnish with 4 pineapple slices cut into triangles.
Stoli Moscow Mule
The insanely popular drink using the original Stoli recipe.
Ingredients
2 parts Stoli Vodka
1/2 part Fresh Lime Juice
3 parts Stoli Ginger Beer
Straights Sling by MONIN
1 oz. MONIN Tiki Blend
2 dashes Bitters
1 oz. Dry gin
1/2 oz. Orange liqueur
2 oz. Pineapple juice
1/2 oz. Fresh lime juice
Splash Sparkling beverage
Preparation
Combine ingredients in shaker with ice in the order listed except sparkling beverage and shake vigorously. Pour into serving glass and add any needed ice. Top with sparkling beverage and garnish.
I’m Into Ginger
A Crystal Head Vodka creation.
Ingredients
1 ½ oz. Crystal Head Vodka
½ oz. Premium orange liqueur
2 oz. Cranberry juice
2 oz. Ginger beer
Preparation
Add Crystal Head Vodka, premium orange liqueur, cranberry juice and ginger beer to a tall glass filled with ice. Stir gently. Garnish with a lime wheel.
Lynchburg Lemonade®
1 part Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7
1 part Triple sec
1 part Sour mix
4 parts Lemon-lime soda
Preparation
Combine ingredients and stir. Garnish with a lemon slice and cherry.
Cucumber Collins

Ingredients
1 1/2 oz. Hendricks Gin
1 thick slice Cucumber (cut in quarters)
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
2 oz. Sour mix
Preparation
Muddle gin and cucumber in glass. Shake well. Top with Club Soda. Garnish with a cucumber wheel.
Negroni
This recipe was originally featured in “The Modern Mixologist: The Negroni Quest” in in the Mix‘s Winter 2009 edition.
Ingredients
1 oz. Gin (The choice of which should suit one’s personal fancy)
1 oz. Campari
1 oz. Martini & Rossi sweet vermouth
Preparation
Into an ice-filled mixing glass (Martini pitcher), add gin, Campari, and Martini & Rossi sweet vermouth. Stir until well blended. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a burnt orange twist.
Rye Smash
Ingredients
2 oz. Templeton Rye (or your favorite)
1 oz. Fresh lemon juice
1 oz. Simple syrup
2 Mint leaves
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in an Old-fashioned glass. Lightly muddle one mint leaf. Fill glass with crushed ice. Garnish with remaining mint.
